ALL the chickens I have had started from last spring till now, get EXTREMLY skinny around 2-5 months, when they hit around 6-7 months they put on weight and are just fine, But it really bothers me, They eat alot of grower/layer, Sweet feed and corn and greens. I've tried giving them some yogurt before to, its not just a few chickens, Its EVERY chicken has went through their skinny period, they otherwise look healthy and act just fine but when you pick them up the front of their chest feels like a V from the tip to their sides. I also was told it may be worms, getting treatment this week but could it seriously have been every single chicken? even at different times?

Every chicken I've owned goes through a gangly skinny period where
they grow tall and later fatten out. They are fugly teenager chicks.

Awww--I want to have some fugly teenage chicks again! Are they on grower feed until 4 months or so? I would limit other feed to 10 percent or less of diet (esp. sweet feed and corn), so they can get plenty of protein while they are growing. If they are healthy acting and happy, don't worry too much.

Yes, and its about %10, maybe a lil more. I usaully give all grower in the morning then in the afternoon about 75%+grower and the rest a small mix of sweet feed and corn
