Skinny, frail, lethargic duckling!!

Update: Okay, from from feeling around again today, the poor guy is even skinnier. Wings, spine, chest, flank, legs, everything is jutting out and I can feel every bone aside from the ribcage, and he no longer puts up much of a fuss when I pick him up. Zero feather development from yesterday. All the others have just under an inch of true flight feathers poking through, and his are still nothing more than pin feathers. I have given him a mash of crumbles, niacin, and a little grit mixed with water, wich he seems to like more than dry food, but he is still a slow, low appetite eater. I a insanely worried for him and plan on worming all of them soon just to be safe.

Pls help! How can I fatten him up, how should I go about worming such young birds, and what are the odds of him surviving??😭

I’m sorry to hear this. Did you try extra separate feeding?
Please invest in a scale. And if you are so worried, and you have the possibility to consult a vet, please do.

All the best with your beautiful Cayuga

Yes I tried the seprate feeding of a slurry of food but he only ate a little then rejected it. What is the average cost of a cheap kitchen scale? I only have so much money available as I am a jobless minor. Again the vet isn't really an option, as I am pretty broke rn, and my parents view him only as lowly livestock. Are there certain foods I can give him to make him pack on weight?

5ish weeks old. I will try the scrambled eggs too, as you suggested.
Update: The scrambled eggs were a hit! The little guy loved them, and I gave him some slightly over ripe bananna, wich he also loved! He has a bit more spirit now, and is more active. I think there's hope for him yet!

2nd update: The small duck as well as another one started coughing today, so I am thinking gapeworm. I am going camping tonight and coming back saturday evening. I plan to grab wormer on the way home, but I am worried about the length of time it takes gapeworm to kill a duckling. Will it be too late by tommorrow night? How much damage will be caused by then?

Thanks!
