She's eating,drinking just melted but is wary of roo,she'll come out of the coop for treats unless she sees him. He goes after her too. She's only 1 1/2 yrs old. Not sure if she's laying either.
 
If she's going through her first molt, it's normal for a chicken to lose their appetite during this time and lose weight. When molt is complete, they will gain back the weight.

To see if your hen is molting, look on the back of the neck for a uniform span of pin feathers emerging under the old feathers.
 
I'll do that thank you,she is isolating herself from the rest of the flock,especially the Roo. He really goes after her if she comes out of the coop and she runs back inside to hide.
 
I have a theory but if she is molting, wouldn't she have pin feather on her saddle so maybe the roo is trying to mate and it hurts her. Again, JUST a theory :confused:
 
Yes her back is covered in new pin feathers,sounds like this is what's going on ,my roo is melting now too.
