Skittish chickens

I have two hens that I got two weeks ago At 18 weeks of age. They are skittish and flighty. How can they be tamed?
Lots of time. They don't know you. Chickens are skittish by nature. It is a survival mechanism for a prey animal.
Get a chair and just sit inside the run with some tasty goodies and encourage them to jump up in your lap for the treats. Don't touch them at first, just offer treats. Move slowly, talk softly and eventually you will be getting mobbed by them.

Might depend on what you mean by 'tame'.
Personally, I don't want chickens on my lap.

But, yeah, time and presence....and patience, is what it takes.
Just be there, frequent short visits throughout the day, walk thru coop and run.
Or sit and watch or read...talking softly so they get sued to your voice.
Bring treats a few times, but not always.

What breed are they? Some breeds do seem to be naturally more flighty and skittish than others. Flightier breeds can still be tamed, but it definitely takes more time and patience. :)
