I've had a predator problem out here that I've slowly been taking care of (3 coons so far this week!) So I've moved my quail into the garage.

These guys are so skittish now, they try to fly straight up and away from me, where before they would come close begging. Needless to say the remaining ones quit laying.

I'm wondering if the coons have them so distressed they are seeing danger everywhere. Will they settle back down and start laying again?

Could they be just unsure of where they are? Being moved may have confused/stressed them too. I bet they will settle back down after they are used to their new surrounding. Good Luck!!

Naw, they were like that for the past week. I've got like a 6' x 8' x 6'tall outdoor cage they were in and they were always skittish after I started to loose some to the 'coons.

confused they've been like this for only a week? If so, it can take hens a month to start laying again after being terrified. You'll have to get them completely calmed down and feeling safe before youc an relaly start waiting for them tolay again otherwise you may be waiting a while lol.

Rats, and the eggs I ordered are for the bator..... I love bread n butter pickled quail eggs!!!!!!!!!!

No eggs yet this morning, but i wasn't figuring on any. They didn't try to brain themselves when I went in this morning tho, they must like being indoors better lol
