I want to add some muskovies to the farm. I herd they only stay in pairs, is that true? I would think the hen would get over used...
anyway, I have been given a choice of what colors I want and I dont know what the difrent colors look like... can sombody send me picturs or a link of dfifrent colors? he has offerd me black splash, blue splash, a blue barred/ripple, and black. I think I know what the black looks like LOL but I have had no luck finding pictures on the others.
Im thinking about getting a blue splash female & male & the blue barred/ripple female unless they would be better just in a pair... Then I think I want the blue ripple/barred hen and a blue splash drake.

I love my muscovies!! No, do not just keep them in pairs! Get at least three girls for your drake. They are prolific, and the girls are broody and excellent mothers- but you definitely want more than one girl for each drake.
Enjoy! They are my favorite.

IDK, the guy said they are splash...
I have a runner duck & a pekin duck that he can breed with too. I know he will be way to big for the runner but at least its a duck I guess.

Id suggest one male and as many females as you want. One Muscovy drake can take care of up to ten hens easily. I currently have pictures of choloate pied, white, black bibbed and black barred . Muscovies are extremely intelligent, a true breed of their own.
