What!? Humans who don't think that my pig skulls are gross? This will be a great thread! This is the only thing like that that I'm allowed to keep in the house. It's a pig tusk from my mother's old boar pig, charly. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to bring anything inside until it's cleaned and I'm not allowed to clean it myself.

Beautiful!! My guardian doesn’t really like that I have skulls but he allows me to keep em, I really love them. Here’s two I just cleaned.

Wow! What method do you use to clean them? My mother is convinced that the only way to clean them yourself and not let them rot in the field is to boil them.

There’s bugs you can use to clean skulls. I like to use the bugs then I’ll let them sit in something to clean the bacteria and things off.

What kind of bugs?

Dermastid beetles mostly. Some are wild in the environment and if you let a skull sit out it'll be cleaned up. Some are raised for it and imported. I have a pack of imported bugs for cleaning rabbit and chicken bones.
