In my town chickens have more rights than humans for now. Luckily last year Cockfighting was finally banned in one of our counties. We are an unincorporated area that shares two counties and one banned it and one didn't, but now they both do. If someone tried to come out here and mess with our domestic chickens those former fighters would deal with them! A lot of our residents depend heavily on those on chickens to eat and for the eggs.
Nugget was happy to see me get home yesterday, until he realized I had no french fries, just a large suitcase and a bag of Kettle Corn. He's not big on sweet stuff.

I had some local kids walking by today, and as usual my feathered children were at the fence begging. Nugget went up to the fence and was standing in between Little Foots and LaRoo, two really small Bantam roos, which of course made him look even bigger. One of the younger girls, probably about 5 or 6 pointed at him and asked his name. I told her it was Nugget and asked if she wanted to pet him, of course she did, so I held him for her. When they were leaving she said I needed to change his name, it should be "Nuggetron". My son explained the Transformer correllation to me. I'd love to see what he would transform into!

I'm hoping if I can get some BIG hens he might change his mind about being so faithful to Woo. For heaven's sake she hides in the tree from the roos,,, he has to give in sometime!

hehehehe your bunny slippers remind me of the Owl slippers my son got me one year...along with the godzilla slippers he got my dad. Here dad and I walking through the house and each time our right foot hit the floor you heard "grrooooooooowwwwwwl" and "hoo hoo hoo"....it drove my mother crazy!
