I read your other thread too. An easy way to weight a pet might be to weigh yourself then stand on the scale with him. The difference is his weight.

I have to do this with my cat Yang as he weighs like 20lbs and won't stand on a scale for nothing. I have to weigh him so much because the vet put him on a diet which isn't working because he steals food and knows how to open doors, plastic bins. He even messed with a can of cat food till he pulled the ring and opened it. He's the bottom cat on my icon.
