Skunk visited our coop

Well a skunk just thought that it was going to get one of our chickens last night. This is the first time this has happened and I am sure not the last. It managed to pull our huge broiler's wing and foot under the pen. We found him on his back this morning unable to get up and dazed. All our other birds were okay.

Prepare for the predator's return. Now that it has located a food source it will be back. What you describe sounds like typical racoon behavior.

Caught a skunk in our chicken house last Friday night, shot and missed. Next morning she had killed 6 and left them lay. Caught up with her that night. I didn't miss, point blank shot. Thankfully she did. Never had skunk wipe out so many before.
