skunk?

So, something was digging around our coop. I set the trap and caught a baby skunk. I think he was too young to even spray because I was right in his face trying to open the trap. Could a skunk of killed adults or pullets. should i have relocated him? was it bad to let him go? will he dig or eat eggs ( don't have any yet)

he might not kill your chickens now but when he gets older he'll dig and kill birds and eat eggs so try to catch him again and this time dispatch him.
