Skunks x 2!!

OK, I've had my Girls for about months and I live in a cottage with a cottage garden. So, my garden is sweet...and I love to let my Girls free range in the small cottage garden. They do have a small coop and i can keep them cooped. about 2 days ago, I awakened to skunk smell and found a skunk free ranging in the garden. Went out, bought a trap (by recomendation of Animal Control of my city) and trapped it that evening. Animals in Distress lady came and took trap w skunk away and I thought I was done...WELLL NOT! They were probably a family and now there is one left. I went to lock the pen last night and it was IN the pen. Can I put out mothballs to deter it? Will they harm my Girls if they eat them?

Mothballs may deter it, and yes they will harm your chickens if they get to them. Place mothballs out of your chickens' reach.
