“Aah!” Dove jumped up, falling off the rock She was perched on. She looked up. A blue SkyWing was looking down at her.
“Well hello there!” The SkyWing hybrid got up, shaking herself off. “I’m Dove by the way. And you are, a hybrid as well i assume?”
"Yes, actually, I am," River said ruefully, shaking out her obviously SkyWing wings.
"Nice to meet you, Dove. Has Fatespeaker told you your winglet yet? I'm in Silver Winglet, but i was just getting some fresh air."

"I'm in the Silver winglet as well. So I guess we should probably get to know each other." Dove smiled. she spread out her fire-streaked wings, and flew into the cave. "come on River. Let's go find our cave."

River grinned. She could definitely deal with this dragon. She stretched her wings and glided after the Sky-NightWing. They dove to where Fatespeaker was sitting, who gave them directions to their cave.

River flapped down one, two, three caves till they reached the fourth. (you can make it look hwoever you want)
The two stepped inside their den. Sunlight shone through the glass skylights, which had been inserted thanks to Blue’s flame silk. Woven blankets were laid, or folded on the cliff beds, and a SilkWing tapestry of a tree had been hung on the wall. Dove wondered if the colors, all shades of grey, had been chosen specifically for this den. An apple wood scroll-rack, with an added on bookshelf (for Hivewing books) stood by the door.
Dove went into the middle of the cave, the sun shining down on her. “Isn’t it beautiful River? And think, this is where we’ll be living for the next for or more years of our lives!”

River's eyes shone. "This is so incredible!" she exclaimed, making for the scroll racks and bookshelf. "I definitely won't mind living here. Hey, this is one of my stories!" she exclaimed, tugging a small scroll from the bookshelf. She opened it and replaced it, smiling like mad.
"What if we made paintings in the art cave and weavings with the SilkWings and glass lanterns from that class Admiral's coming in to teach, and then we decorated our cave with them? Wouldn't that be SO pretty? Oooh, what class are you most excited about? I'm looking forward to the writing essays I've heard Starflight assigns. Do you know anyone here? I don't, I'm new everywhere. Do you want the higher cliff or the lower one? I don't mind, I like them both."

“I’ll take the bottom cliff. I sleep fly. I know Peril, she’s my best friend. I think she’s in the Jade winglet.” Dove replied. This dragon talked very fast!

River smiled. "I've met Peril before. She didn't seem very perilous... more like... Um... unperilous. She was cool!"
She spread her wings and glided up to the higher cliff. It was set by a window with aquamarine silk curtains, but the curtains were drawn and sunlight flooded the ledge.
There were empty frames on the walls, for pictures or for other sentimentals she didn't know. The ceiling was large and domed, making the cave feel open and spacious. She wondered if the founders had specially picked this cave because they were both SkyWing hybrids.

“do you like painting? Or stone carving? I think one of the IceWings is doing an ice carving class. It must be nice to be able to freeze things with your breath.”
