~Skyherd~ A wild horse Roleplay

"Esther?" Gemma heard the groan of her friend, and flicked an ear in her direction. Certain of her location, she trotted towards her, stopping a few strides away.

"Hi Gemma." She said kindly, regaining her posture and tossing her mane out of her face.

For a moment she listened, head tilted slightly. A grin of delight spread across her face as she realized that Esther's voice was coming from almost ear-level. "You can walk again!"

"Here, lean on me," she walked forwards, careful not to bump into Esther. "I may not be the strongest or most graceful horse around, but at least it's something. We probably need to get you to some good grazing. You haven't eaten much."

"Yeah, some nive clover would be nice." She said, walking stiffly while leaning up against Gemma.

"Sounds good," Gemma agreed, puffing slightly with the effort of walking, making sure she didn't trip, and balance Esther. She walked until the sweet scent of clover tickled her nose, and she stopped, nodding to Esther.

Esther sighed with relief, the feel of cool, almost wet clover beneath her hooves felt really good. She slowly put her bruised head down, and began to chew on the clover.

Pleased that she could help Esther, Gemma remained standing, closing her eyes as she felt the warm sun beat down on her smooth coat. "Please don't think me rude of I don't join you," she said apologetically. "My mommy still wants me to drink milk ever since I was pricked by a thistle while grazing." She winced as her stomach grumbled, hoping Esther didn't hear it.

"She won't let you graze! But, but your older than me!" Esther exclaimed.

"She doesn't want me getting hurt," she explained, shrugging. "I was a bit disobedient at first," she carried on guiltily. "I know that I'm different. But I also know that I'm not helpless. I just wish she would give me the chance to prove it," she whispered quietly.

"Your not different! Your special." Esther said kindly in her innocent, chicldish voice, not caring if Gemma was disabled.
