~Skyherd~ A wild horse Roleplay

"She doesn't want me getting hurt," she explained, shrugging. "I was a bit disobedient at first," she carried on guiltily. "I know that I'm different. But I also know that I'm not helpless. I just wish she would give me the chance to prove it," she whispered quietly.

"Your not different! Your special." Esther said kindly in her innocent, chicldish voice, not caring if Gemma was disabled.

Gemma smiled. "Thanks, Esther," the words puzzled and surprised her. For so long her blindness had been considered a fault, a horrible deformation that barred her from normal life. Yet Esther's words cheered her. "But I am different. We're all different. It's what makes us who we are. I'm just . . . a little different than everybody else," she stopped, realizing she was rambling.

"Mm-hm." Esther said brightly, muching on more clover. "Do you wanna play?" Esther asked, before falling silent. "If, its alright with your mommy." She added.

Gemma's face brightened. "I would love to, if you feel up to it," at the prospect of her mother finding out, she listened intently, trying to locate her mother. Nothing. She frowned. "Do you see my mommy, Esther?"

"Sure!" she chuckled at the thought of trying to "seek" Esther. Yet inside she was a bit worried. She hadn't heard her mother for a few hours now. It wasn't like Layla to leave her for more than a few minutes at a time. Still, she kicked up her heels and darted off towards the thicker bushes of the meadow. "Get ready to find me!" she whinnied.

"Alright!" Eshter called out, her eyes closed tight. She put her head onto the ground, forehead first, and began to count loudly.

Hide and seek had seemed a good idea. That was, until Gemma reached the bushes. With a frown, she groped about with her hooves, though carefully in case any of the bushes housed a pricker bush. It was going to be hard to be sure she was well-hidden.

Once she had gone far enough into the collection of bushes, she crouched down, huddled against the ground and called out: "I'm ready!"

Stifling a giggle of her own, Gemma stuck her muzzle between her front hooves, sucking in her breath while she waited for Esther to find her.

Esther searched around some more, looking behind trees, and in bushes. She finally, after much searching, came upon the bushes where Gemma hid. "She has to be here...." Esther thought aloud, peeking into the bushes. "I foun dyou!" She squealed, looking at Gemma.
