There were no mates, unless they were given the right from Flip. ((Who was the first SkyHerd Lead stallion))

The herd mostly consisted of Females, like a herd in the wild would really be.

Mares would most normally have to mate with the lead stallion.

I think that's it.

I think it should be added that there HAS to be a lead mare, because in a real herd a lead mare is needed. she keeps all the horses togeather and without her there would be no order and a lot of fighting

No, not really....


There doesn't have to be a lead mare, and when there is a lead mare, its usually the stallion who keeps the herd in order, not the mare.
