"Okay," she said, taking a deep breath. "It all started when I was born; I was smaller than the other foals in the herd. The lead stallion, also my father and the other foals' father, believed I was weak because of my size and how long it took me to get my legs stable. He was going to put me out of my misery. Though I barely made it away with my mother because I could not yet canter, the two of us somehow managed to get away. Both of us were wounded. My mother's hind leg was even maimed so badly she could no longer walk correctly. I was only scratched up. What felt like several days later, we were snaked into another herd. I was harassed by everyone but my mother." Juniper paused. "But when I reached breeding age I was free to go. Ever since I've distrusted stallions, as well as the two-legged stallions that had beat me as a yearling."

Chance looked horrified "I..I'm sorry.." he said with Sadness and pressed his muzzled against her shoulder.

He knew her Sadness and hated the feeling, he looked around "Well..No Stallion or Anyone will harass you while i'm around..No one will Harm you on my Hoof!" He smiled kindly trying to brighten the mood.
She let out a passive snorting sigh. "Alright," the mare said, before leaning her head down to take a bite of the grass. Upon hearing the beating of hooves out in the distance, Juniper raised her head and nickered.
