Here's my bearded silver laced polish named Elizabeth Bennett. She (I'm still hopeful) is 8 weeks, almost to the day. She has no sign of wattles, no pink color to her comb, no spur bumps, no outward signs of rooish behavior, but her darned crest is just SCREAMING roo to me. Count me among those city folk who can't have roos! Here's a few pics of Lizzy.

Lizzy in all HER (like I sad, I'm still hopeful) glory

BONUS:

Here my supposedly partridge silkie pullet named Bud. She's looking more like a red, but from what I've read her coloring can be indicative of a partridge roo. She too is 8 weeks on the nose. I know it's probably too early, but what the hey. I figured I would toss her pic in just for fun.

Dena, I think it's a pullet, too. The crest is nice & rounded, albeit lopsided. Scooter's was lopsided until pretty recently, when a new crop of pin feathers appeared on the side/back of her head.

"Bud"... what a cute name for a silkie who has a "twin" named "Blossom".

I'm far from a polish expert, but the polish looks like a cockerel to me--the crest looks too wild. I hope for your sake I am wrong.

The silkie is somewhere in between partridge and red & buff. Not enough penciling and too light a colour to be partridge or red, too much dark to be buff. Be that as it may, she is pretty and I am sure will be a nice pet
