Sled dog breeding

No hurry I can wait. I've been working on Nala's stack since she was 10 months. So she ok at it but she has to be stacked by hand. But we're getting there.
I'll try to get a good pic. And what's the prostumum? Where's that at?

Some dogs think stacking is silly and they don't want to do it. Or it's having strangers look at them. Or they were still asleep. Or the camera steals their soul. Or or or. They may still do it because you asked them but they are not pleased. They tend to drop their ears, push back in the stand, roach their back, etc. It makes them look as bad as possible. Even a very good dog can look like it was assembled by a kindergarten class. All the comments I made about her could be from her unwillingness to play the game at that time. But, I commented on what I was shown.

Prosternum- go to her withers, run your hand down the shoulder blade to where her shoulder blade meets upper arm. Reach around to the front of her chest and there should be a knob. It's at the level of the joint between shoulder blade and upper arm (humerus) , at the front of the chest. This is where the ribs start. If it's prominent it gives lots of room for muscles to attach. If it's small, less room for muscles.

I only googled for Sibe anatomy chart, haven't read any of it, wasdon't know if good or bad.

Some dogs don't like anyone leaning over them. It might be that as opposed to OMG- you're going to trim my nails, I know it. Anyway- I start teaching my dogs to stack on a grooming table. Limited room for them to go, you can walk all around them, you don't have to lean over them and all legs are within reach. Oh and class instructor, a stranger, isn't leaning over them either. I've done it that way for all my different breeds, not just the "groomed" ones. Makes it less stressful for them at vets too- they're used to table and someone looking them over .

Dratted kindle is skipping whole words now. I must have a ghost typing along with me.

Phantom at first also baliked at showing his bite. Now I can get it done. I am now working on his leg issues. I will randomly touch, rub, and move his legs from all kinds of positions, beside him, over him, etc. he needs to get used to it for when a judge examines him, and to make life easier on us both.

I don't have a grooming table yet. I have most of the brushes, an arm, a blow dryer, but no table, lol. I am looking at 1 I like, so hopefully I will have 1 soon.

I too have issues with Casper stealing my IPad when I am typing. And when I'm on my desktop, the cats love walking across the keyboard. I just can't win, lol.

Check for sprains or other injuries. Also, you have repeadley stated that she had bad hips, that would cause pain and stiffness. Other things is how much muscle ton does she have? Is she doesn't exercise enough and then did some hard work something she wasn't used to she could have pulled some muscles, just like humans.

I'm looking at one that is adjustable height. My 11 year old, soon to be 12 at the end of the month, wants to do conformation as well. Since he is shorter, I need a table we can both use without needing to take a step stool for him, lol.
