Sleeping on the water bucket?!

Our 4 hens prefer to sleep on top of their 5 gallon water bucket in the run instead of their coop. Is that a problem? Should we be locking them in the coop at night? They are safe in the run just seems odd.

Do they have a roost higher than the water bucket?
How old are they?

It isn't really abnormal, but if you want them to roost and sleep in the coop you are going to have to break this habit and teach them to roost in the coop.
