Sleeping standing up

Quick question to the chicken community: do any other chickens (besides mine) spend a lot of time standing up overnight? I have a camera in the coop (because I’m obsessed with them) and I can check them any time in the middle of the night and, inevitably, one or more are standing up. Does anyone else have chickens that do this? And is it a problem?

It's normal, they don't sleep straight through the night for one, and some of them will react to the camera and move or straighten up when they notice it's on.

I've come here to search for your very question, the past couple nights 3 of my girls have been standing all night which I found odd!

They know more about being a chicken than we ever will. It is cooler to sleep standing up - it helps regulate their body temperatures. When it is cold, mine tend to huddle down. But they move quite a bit.
