Sleepy chick

I lost my sleepy chick at day 9 as well. Sorry for your loss. I tried keeping her going the last few days but it was just too much for her.

Its always hard to loose a chick, even if you only had here for a short while. They are so innocent and sweet.

Sorry for your losses. So hard to loose one, I'm sure!

Our sleepy girl is doing just fine now and quite attached to my 7 year old. She cries out for her if she is not right next to the cage..lol I do hand feed her if she seems overly sleepy though. I'm not sure why...but she'll get sleepy for hours on end when the others are up and playing. I decided to go ahead and do that until it no longer seems necessary. I'm off to find meal worms today and get more acv.

Thanks for your help

I am noticing that we have a sleepy one as well. It is also the smallest. From what I can tell she is eating and drinking, just falling asleep all the time. We got the order on wed. I think the sleepy one is the chick that didn't act that great out of the shipping box, but then perked up. She just lays there sleeping while the other 3 walk all over her. I hope she makes it.

Sorry you are having a sleepy chick. I have one too. Just picked them up this am (16/25 didn't make it, other post on that). I hope she pulls through, but she doesn't eat or drink. She drools out any dropper liquid. I hope yours all make it.
