In the Brooder
I have two March babies out of 8 that have yet to lay.
Today they were both in the coop while everyone else was enjoying sun outside, there was a little blood noted on the shavings. vents are clean, feathers are in tact, no rooster on premises.
I separated them both, put some electrolytes in their water, darkened the area.
I have noted a little blood over the years on early eggs but not experienced this before in the absence of a full visible prolapse.
Is this remotely a first egg occurrence, or are we doomed to experience another awful prolapse experience?
