Slightly old berries?

I've seen birds choke when they get too greedy, and there are some pretty small strawberries sometimes

By choke, do you mean you had to intervene to save the bird's life?

Or do you mean they made weird expressions and looked unhappy and swallowed and stretched their neck (etc)--and solved it themselves within a few minutes?

I've seen the latter, but I don't worry about it.

I assumed you meant the kind of choking that is deadly, but now I realize I might have been mis-understanding.

The second one. I've only ever had one bird choke and that was a freak accident and we lost the bird. Of course now though I'm paranoid about all that

Ah, that makes sense. Having one bad experience does tend to make you more aware of the possibility!
