Slipped Achilles' tendon?

I have a rooster who is now 16 weeks and he is hobbling along on one leg. I'm assuming he had a slipped tendon and we just didn't get to it soon enough. We thought he had a broken leg, but there doesn't seem to be any pain in it. He just simply can't touch the ground with that leg now. Is there any hope for us getting the tendon back over his hock or have we waited too long (it's been a few weeks)?? He's the nicest fellow and the friendliest of our bunch. Will vitamins really help a slipped tendon?? What kind of vitamins?

Madmat, is your chick still lame?

Yes, "Gimpy" is still lame. We were a bit late in discovering what the issue was and by then the course was already set & we had to plan to put her down. Roosters ive heard, get by better. The legostition in hens often times keeps them from ever laying... Whereas with roosters... Well nothing ever slows them down...
