Alright people. I’ve been dealing first with what I thought was bumble foot because my duck was limping on one leg. Eventually both legs were substantially swelling. Took her to the vet, she got antibiotics and and anti-inflammatory/pain meds. It’s almost a week of giving these meds twice a day and she still really doesn’t like to walk on the leg and hops around primarily just on the one. One of my wildlife Rehabilitator friends mentioned that it may be a slipped hock. She gave me the name of a great vet who handles all the wildlife in RI. I’m willing to pay for the surgery if need be and am making an appointment with her tomorrow morning. I just want my duck to get better. This has been going on for almost a month. Anyone have experience with this? Any information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
