I have a chick that just hatched. I cannot get her tendon to line up in place where the other one is. She appears unable to extend the leg, when I first started to extend her leg, it took a lot of work, slowly pushing it open a little more each time. I finally was able to get the leg fully extended. However, when I put the tendon back into place, it does not stay, and there is a lot of pressure on the leg as I am trying to hold the leg in place to extend it over the leg. Her tendon does not want to stay in place. If it is fully extended, it will stay where it is supposed to, but if I open it up, close it, it becomes less flexible and stops bending easily.

Her leg has become bruised since I have been working on it. All of it. I do not want her to die. She hatched yesterday and I am worried that if I take her in tomorrow, which is the soonest possible day, that she will have grown too much and will not be able to get the tendon in place.

Does any one have experience with this?
