Slipped tendon help!

When the swelling goes down then the leg should feel more normal.
I went to publix looking for baby aspirin and could not find it by this name. Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid, I don’t see anything for children with that name. What exactly should I be looking for?
On another note, I flexed his legs multiple times today. When I unwrapped his knee this evening for his therapies looked really good.
Pretty much as good as it did on Wednesday.
He didn’t eat much today. I just put him back in the little improvised chair for an hour or two to give him a break from the straight back position.

If you contact the vet you saw already they should really write a prescription without seeing him again.

As for the aspirin, could you ask a pharmacist at the counter?

You're doing a great job with him. I really hope he keeps improving.

Good morning :)
I messaged and emailed the vet where I took him, an hour and a half drive away. No reply. They wanted me to go back the next day to which I had said no, so I guess they’re not happy? My vet here said that even if that vet wrote a prescription, they are not willing to fill it :(

I’ll ask the pharmacist. Talking to people gives me anxiety, so I avoid it if I can lol.

Little guy is improving. He spent the night with his legs straight back and this morning after clean up and therapies he’s back in the chair, eating and chirping away.

He won’t really eat when he’s laying down I learnt.

How long should I keep him immobilized? I don’t want to rush it, but I know it’s a very fine line before something else goes wrong from standing still.

When I unwrap him again this afternoon I’m gonna try and clean his bottoms a bit. He’s pretty stinky even if I change him regularly.

His siblings are on the porch this morning to get some fresh air :)

Update day 5

Bean was restless yesterday evening.
Either in his carboard chair or with his legs straight back he was constantly finding the way to get out of his wings and healthy leg wraps.
I made him a different chair using a basket and fine mesh thinking it may give him a softer and better support, but he didn’t like that either.
I checked on him all night every hour, after he finally settled a bit at 1 am.
His leg looks now normal, he is able to move it by himself without the tendon slipping off. I did let him do that suspended with no weight on it.
The harder spot on the outside of the leg, opposite to where the tendon slipped, is still there, but clearly there is no inflammation.
Any idea if this is normal? I am attaching a picture of both knees for comparison.
This morning I cut a new splint out of cardboard exactly like KsKingBee showed me.
Taped the leg first, added one layer of horse tape for cushioning and the the cardboard and lastly more tape.
I redid his enclosure with one towel under the cabinet liner and blocked half of it so he has less room to walk.
He is so happy!
The cardboard kind of slid down a bit and keeps his talon from moving freely. I am afraid if I shorten it the knee may get uncovered. Any advice about this?
He is limping a bit, but he is walking a couple of steps at a time and he much calmer.
Since he is being so good, we are all on the porch today to enjoy the warm florida morning :)

Please let me know if I am doing things right or if there’s something I should do differently or better!

You are making tremendous progress. The splint is more for holding pressure on the tendon to hold it in place while it is being used. Exorcising and walking on that leg is important, I would ditch the 'chair' and let it heal in place. It should not need the splint on for but a day or two, it is walking flat footed so that is good. Try sleeping through the night, you will feel better.

Thank you!!!!
I am trying all I can!
I have a quick update. He was laying down more than he was walking, so I picked him up to check if everything was fine.
The tendon stayed perfectly in place, but the paw beans looks swollen now. Either the carboard pressed too much on the foot from sliding down as I was afraid would happen, or I don’t have the right tape and pressed on the moving joint too much, I think.
This is what I am using. It’s porous paper tape. Should I go get something else?

P.S. still excited the tendon didn’t move!

Now he’s back in the basket chair for a bit with his foam splint back on.
