Hi everyone. One of my khaki campbells started to favor his right leg yesterday, and it has gotten worse today, even after I isolated him and gave him Arnica Montana and Ruta Graveolens. And some more Arnica topically as well.
His leg was slightly in front of his other foot, and sometimes it would stick out at a slight angle.
We stretched his leg back, and there was a slight pop, and he started moving around better afterwards.
He can put his leg in line with his other foot now, but sometimes he still does that odd thing with it.
I have no experience with actual slipped tendons, and I’m worried because the back of his leg is swollen.
He can walk, and he bathes and eats, drinks, preens…I just honestly don’t know what it is.
I would be grateful for any insight or advice. 🙏

Hi!

How old is your duck? I ask as younger ducks sometimes have leg issues due to niacin deficiency. That can cause swelling too.

For him, depending on age, I'd give a B-complex. If he's adult, give him the better part of half of one. If young yet, a little less than half. Once a day for a couple of weeks and in a few days you should see major improvement.

He’s 6 years old. I can try giving him that.
I think it happened because he slipped yesterday when I was letting him out of the barn in the morning, and he slipped and fell even worse today…
