I got it again today - driving on my little 2 lane highway, speed limit 55. Toolin along, and a truck with way too many people in it jumps out in front of me and goes 40.

for 12 miles.

I heard a comedian say once that everyone that drove faster than him was an idiot and everyone that drove slower than him was a moron. I laughed - isn't it the truth? Some "idiot" goes whizzing by and you say, "What an idiot!" or some "moron" drives too slow and you yell, "What a moron!"

In many states down south minimum speeds are posted under the speed limit.


If you want to go faster than me that's fine. I'll get out of your way. Please return the favor.

BTW I run around 13 mph over. Most cops won't touch you unless you are 15 over or more.

SC used to have a posted minimum but I don't know if it does any longer. In NC, I haven't seen any minimum speed limts.

Boyd, I am guessing that someone doing 70 when everyone else is doing over the speed limit wouldn't get a ticket? Am I correct? If so, then the law seems fair.

No minimum speed limits here and you can rage until the dying of the light!

Maybe driving these winding little country roads makes one have the patience of Job.....
