Cadbury's chocolate eggs.. I love them mini eggs they sell.. and chocolate bunnies.. and Easter dinner.. OMG what have I done??!!? Well, at least it's a ways off. And I never eat all the candy I buy, I usually find it around January of the next year lol (cause I hide it in the closet lol)

Well, as I posted in another thread (double posting, I know) We are supposed to be buying 10 acres with a house and 4 outbuildings. Now you go figure why when we have 243 acres with a house and 2 outbuildings (not counting my chicken stuff) that would excite me. 180 acres in timber, 50 acres in levee pasture (no permanent structures, no electricity, no running water, away from house. 10 acres water, That leaves me with 3 acres my house is on, and when the Mississippi River decides to leave its banks, I have water running under my house. So my husband is constantly worrying about all my chickens and what a circus its going to be when the water comes up again. (might not do it in ten years, might do it three years in a row.) And, last time, several pieces of his shop tools went under. So I will have a place to put more chickens, turkeys, and quail. And the ones I keep here I will have a place to take them when the water comes up. He will have a place the set up a shop without worrying about having to move a thousand pound lathe. We don't really want to move at this point, but it will be nice to have a house when we get tired of climbing 20 stairs to the elevated house and boating in and out when the river is up. I'm not sure what we're going to do with it until then. And on each end of the property there is a septic tank, water and electrical hookup for a house trailer. I sure hope this deal goes through!

Floods suck i personally have been through 4 and each got higher. All the animals went onto the hillside or in the barn loft, rabbits on the house deck. Cars a mile down the road parked on the bridge, ugh. Oregon coast is lovely except when it's under water.
Up here in Idaho, beautiful, and dry. Just have to deal with 6 feet of snow instead of six feet of water.

Wow, It really has been a slow night. My internet was down for 4 days, and I didn't miss anything! I ran a high temp last night, I feel really washed out right now. It feels like maybe a flu bug, I suddenly developed a cough and burning lungs. I hope this doesnt' last long. This is the busiest time of year and I hate to miss, so I'll be giving it a try. My little babies are all growing so fast. I have a new hatch of buckeyes with a couple of BTW Japanese. I have some more due out on march the 8th. Keepin' on keepin' on.

I called in sick today, I had a 102 temp yesterday, but today I have a runny nose and horrible cough, so I decided to spare my clients. My eyes are burning so I can't even be on the internet much. guess I'll go crawl in bed.

I'm waiting on my first ever coturnix eggs to arrive next Wednesday. The bator is calibrated and I am counting down the hours. I just can't seem to find enough on-line discussions about them to satisfy my appetite. I felt this way last year when I was awaiting my first ever chickens. Wonder what I'll find to entertain me NEXT year.

Well Hi all you Quailville folk! Jen I hope you get better soon! I have lost 16 lbs so far! I actually feel really good about being on a diet! I went cross-country skiing yesterday, and I'm sure 2 pounds of my butt is out on that trail somewhere lol. My cots are doing great, the older batch is crowing and no fights yet, no eggs either but i'm sure anyday. the whites are all growing up quick.. the eggs have a week left before the fun happens again! I really enjoy hatching eggs! I never knew what I was missing all these years! I have 45 chicken eggs due in 4 days, I set them in their holders for hatching so am going into lockdown, they are mutt eggs. Again, hatching for the donor, but a couple are mine. I have ordered some turkey eggs from bargain on here, they are Royal Palms. I love turkey!
