Our three girls (Henny Penny, Princess and Blackie) have not really missed a beat and we are still getting three eggs a day. They free range...on what is nothing much more than snow at the moment on our place in Colorado.
We had a standard light globe running most of the night to keep them warm, and just switched ato a red heat light....but nothing much seems to have happened.
Maybe the egg size is getting smaller...
Someone made the comment that in Australia eggs are not kept in the fridge at the supermarket! This is very true...in fact i thought it was crazy to keep them in the fridge here in the USA when i arrived from Oz.....but not as crazy as not liking vegemite on toast (or just about anything on toast for that matter).
Ahhh.....i would give anything for some good (canned) baked beans on toast (along side my farm fresh eggs of course) for breakfast!
