Slowly integrating chicks - Wondering if this will work

I have 4 chicks, 3 are about 5 weeks, one is about 4. I started putting the brooder out in the run for the past couple days. My thinking is that if everyone is used to everyone else, when it comes time to let them out into the flock, the older chickens won't even notice.

What is everyone's experience with this? Will it work? Here is a picture of them right after the first introduction. The older chickens were curious for about 2 minutes.

They will still have to work things out when it comes to the water and food area. It should be less stress on everyone tho if they are used to seeing each other, but they will still have to work out the pecking order.
