I’m usually pretty good at doing this but not not this time. Cockerel or pullet SLW? It is one of 10 chicks that survived from an unreliable breeder. A necropsy was done. I have a roo already and not enough chicks for 2. Keep in mind this chick has been very sick and weak for weeks for its features aren’t consistent with traditional chicks! Thank you! It is just about 7 weeks!

Funny enough, my boy has coccidia too.
The meds I ordered haven't cured it. I'm trying a second week, and if that doesn't work I don't know what else to do.
It's not serious in the sense that he is acting normal.
It is serious in the fact that if this week doesn't cure him, I can't do anything more for him. I'll get a photo of my boy.
No way!! Poor guy! Hope he feels better. Mine is doing well. The breeder had them
On stacked brooder cages and medicated food but it killed all of them. They can’t seem to make a connection between the coccidia and the stomach rupture but my
Vet thinks that’s what it is. I treated them with corid too. No luck. What are you using? Corid worked on this guy .... his poops are great now. Lol I’m glad you’re guy is acting normal. Yes, I’d love to see a
Pic!!! I don’t know what I’ll do with another roo 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol my Reggie is protective as it is!!!

How old? If I had a guses I would say....cockerel! But I could be wrong! There was a chick that had to be sexed and everyone said cockerel but it turned out to be a bad big pullet!

Do you have a head-on face view, clearly showing the comb?
Most likely cockerel. There isn't tons of development though.
Cockerels aren't always the most friendly. Often they do seem to be, to me.
I have a 6 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte. He likes to sit on my lap, but he doesn't like being touched.
Yours looks like it has less development, but I'm thinking cockerel still so far.

I think there may be less development because it battled a severe case of coccidia and some sort of stomach rupture disease (we’re waiting for the final necropsy results) it has like no comb development and it’s very pale ( pic below)
