Patchy white on the shoulders could just be bad lacing.

My SLW Picatta was declared a cockerel on the "What Breed or Gender is This?" section at 6-8 weeks but now at 15 it's clear that she's a pullet with bad lacing.

Generally with Wyandotte it takes about 13 to 17 weeks to be totally sure. That's from my experience. Hope that helps.

I'm at 22 weeks with my GLW and no eggs. That lazy fluffy pillow with legs. lol. I don't really care if she has eggs or not.

I thought they didn't start laying until 24+ weeks?
