This is a question for all of you who raise/have SLWs. When do the hens develop those big gorgeous combs and wattles that I've seen in all the pictures of adult slw hens?

So if my SLW have big combs and wattles, one is a pea comb and the other is the stand-up, spikey kind at 8 weeks(they are now 12 weeks old) are the Roo's??

More than likely they are roos.

I went out and took some photos of some of mine that are a little over 13 weeks old and 11 weeks old. As soon as I get them downloaded I'll post them.

13 week old pullet with straight comb...not correct comb, but her lacing is good so I'll keep her.

13 week old pullet at front of picture...13 week roo at the back. The roos didn't want to cooperate very good for me.
