Sly's 1st Egg

My jumbo Pekin Sly laid her 1st PROPER egg today, Her 1st one was a soft shell. This is a photo of Slys egg, next to it is my biggest Pekin egg I had and BamBams 1st egg from the other day. Slys egg is HUGE

She's a huge duck, so a huge egg makes sense.
Cadbury lays these huge tall eggs now and then and I pick it up and just think "Ouch!"

Well done to Sly.. First eggs are always exciting.

The oldest of my " keepers" from the babies I have hatched recently is still only 7 weeks old. I am hoping for some green tinted eggs when they do finally start to lay. .
