Small black bumps on a rooster comb

I can't get a better pic, and haven't tried to pick him up yet, I was just wondering if anyone has an idea as to what these bumps on one side of his comb might be. They look like small shiny beetles, but he won't let me get close enough. All my chickens are free range, none of the others have this. Maybe he got into something?

I'm guessing a peck injury to his comb, but there is the possibility of stick tight fleas. Try to get a close up picture of his comb tonight while he is on the roost.

They look like scabs my rooster has some on his comb comb

I think peck injury is probably the right answer. He was willing to pose for food this time.

Looks like scabs nothing to worry about they will fall off just like human scabs
