Hi all, I adopted some unwanted hens yesterday, one has lots of small black scabs on her comb. I currently have her isolated, she has no scabs on her eyes/mouth or missing feathers. I'm unsure if these scabs are from fighting as where she was collected from there was a number of birds all housed together in a small area. Or if this is hen pox? dry or wet? If this is pox, are there any recommended treatments? Please see pictures. Thanks ever so much.

I agree with the others, the scabs are from picking.

You mention you adopted new hens yesterday - do you already have an existing flock? If you do, then how are you quarantining the new hens?

I have 3 existing hens and 2 new girls, I'm using an old spare coup with a connecting run for the newbies at the moment, so there have been no formal introductions!
