My male sex link rooster, of about 4 weeks age, has a small bruise on his leg, it is at the bottom, near his toes about 1ish cm and a very blue colour , i know where he got it from as he was allowed outside briefly to meet the older females, one of them pecked him on the leg and now this bruise has come up, he doesn't limp or seem to bothered by it, is there anything I should do?
Another quick question; my 2 chicks are about 4 weeks old now (1 male, 1 female), nearly all fethered and looking scruffy! As it is warm here (about 25C during the day (77F)) I let them out for a few hours every day and they no longer seem to need the heat lamp I have been using, I removed it from the makeshift incubator and will plan to put if back in if our house suddenly drops in temperature. When is it they could live outside with the other chickens (there are 5 females ranginging from 1 y.o to about 2 y.o)? Also when should I start feeding them on growers mash? Many thanks
