Small Bump on 9 week old pullets beak- Any Thoughts?

Hi everyone!

I have a nine week old female speckled sussex that has a hard bump on her lower beak. I noticed it a few weeks back and thought it was her waddle coming in, other than this she has no other symptoms. Is this an abnormality? Or it is something else.

Thanks for your help in advance. She is with five other nine week old pullets and she is the only one that has this.

Could have been caused by an injury when she was just a small chick.

true- I am going to monitor it.. she is perfect otherwise.. I am sure it will look smaller as her head gets larger too

I had one that had a weird lump to, it disappeared after a while.

Looks like waddle growth. Inclined to think you got yourself a boy.

It is forward of the waddle and only on one side.. I will wait to see what happens- could be a roo right? We never know officially until they crow or lay lol

I have a speckeld sussex pullet that has the same thing but on the top of her back where did you get her

I got her from Mount Heathy Hatchery in Cincinnati Ohio- she is 18 weeks today and in great shape!
