Once you get them to roost in the coop at night, you can then start on socializing them.

I sure hope so bc this sucks! I'm freezing to death after chasing them all over the yard!

Remember, chickens are most easily caught when they can be convinced to go somewhere because it is their idea....lol...

Can you catch and cage the ones you already have in the pen, such as by placing them into an animal crate for a few hours? If so, you can then open the gate of the pen, put food and water in there and wait to see if the strays go in, then just shut the door on them. Then add the others back in.
The other option is to use a large dog crate as a trap, put food and water in for them and have a rope tied to the door and laid across the yard to a convenient observation spot. When they go in for food pull the rope to close the door. Just pay attention to how the rope is run, it should be tied to the door about 3 or 4 inches from the latch side near the bottom, then run through the cage and out the side about 6 or 8 inches back the side from where the latch is. This allows it to fully pull shut when you pull it. Experiment with rope locations until it swings quickly and fully shut.

Maybe lock them in the coop/run for 2-3 weeks just to make sure they know where home is. Which chicken did you catch?

Oh Thank goodness!! I have a crate!! I will certainly keep ya'll updated! If one of the chickens see the chicken caught though, will it make them too scared to go in?

I caught Becky. She's a light brown chicken. I still can't catch Red or Pebbles..

Oh boy. Are there any treats that they really like in particular? Try leading them into the run with lettuce, chopped tomatoes, or bread.
