Ok! Thank you!
Well once you catch her you can give her lots of snuggles. That's how I train my hens and roosters.I wish mine was like that!
I never thought of that! I figured they'd just stay this way.Well once you catch her you can give her lots of snuggles. That's how I train my hens and roosters.
I put branches up for them. Is this ok or do I need to take these down and put something else?
Thank you. As soon as I catch all of them, I'll start working on it. I've just spent an hour in this cold weather playing ring around the rosy with them in one of my bushes and only managed to catch 1.The branches are a great roost, and work perfect in chain link fencing. You don't need to add more unless you want to create 'steps' with the lowest being a longer stick further out, then another set about a foot higher and a foot closer back to the corner and then another a foot higher and further back as a top roost. This gives them an easier way to get up and down, and if you have any really big bodied birds it is better that they have steps or a ramp to get up and down or a low roost to settle on. High jumps can cause leg injuries or early arthritis with big birds.
They eat out of my hand. They just won't let me catch them.I had almost the same problem with my chickens.I went to my local pet store and bought a bag of mealworms.I got them to eventually eat out of my hand and then they came to me !
