Small chicken in the cold

Sure! Im sorry its not pretty but I had to use what I had around the house. The frame is the one they built. I moved it across the yard so it would be closer to my house and added the outside.
There was nothing covering it. It was just a fence for them to sleep in. There was nothing blocking the rain, wind, etc..

I give you tons of credit for taking on the mess they left... If the roostesr grew up together they probably already worked out their biggest differences but they may spat once in a while depending on how overbearing the dominant one is.
If you can borrow a long handled fishing net from someone you know, or buy a cheap on at Wal-Mart or kmart... they are invaluable when it comes to catching flighty birds.

Brightly colored treats (cantaloupe or watermelon) may draw their attention, even from a distance and get them back into the run.

You can use hay or straw bales stacked around the outside base of the run to provide wind protection or further insulation if needed, though your siding looks pretty good to me... and one in the run can give bored birds something the dig at. Though be aware that the one inside the run may absorb moisture and get mucky around the base if you don't have good drainage.

Thank you! I'm trying! When I talk to her, she says she'll get HER chickens eventually.. I'm thinking about getting more so that if she does try to get them, I can tell her that she has to leave them alone bc I don't know which ones are mine and which ones are "hers".

They sell huge bags of dried mealworms at my TSC, but they usually sell live ones at the pet store, but they are too expensive for the amount you get, and there are probably not enough in there to last you more than one feeding. You could always start a culture of your own tho. Mine get dried mealworms and they go absolutely crazy for them.
