small cut on duck top beak

hii so i’m new to having ducks and im worried abt my duck beak its just a small cut not bleeding but i have no idea what happened is she going to be okay or what should i do
she’s only 5-6 weeks old

IMO just keeping a close eye on it to make sure it is healing properly is the best option for this situations. But I am not a duck person (I want to be lol) so I don’t have any experience with them and could be wrong.

Hi, perhaps she scratched in on some wire. If you feel like it, you could put something on it, but it looks like that wouldn't be totally necessary.

olive oil would do well, or any cooking oil you have.

It looks like a very small cut. It should be fine as long as it heals well and doesn't become infected. Keep an eye on her and if it does become infected let us know!

@zaypay It's the first minor wound of many your duck will get on its bill by being a duck.

Don't worry. It doesn't need anything doing to it -- no olive oil nor anything else. It will heal in a couple of days
