Fairy eggs can be caused by stress, usually from fighting with other chickens, extreme temperature changes, predators, molting, diseases, or not enough food and water. They can also happen in young layers. This fairy egg was most likely caused by heat stress or poor nutrition, because your other egg in the picture comparison has some wrinkles. If your hen is old, that might also be a cause
This is known as a fairy egg. Sometimes a little mistake happens during the egg production, and an egg forms without a yolk. Completely normal and nothing to worry about unless they continue to occur.
Thank you both so much - as a new chicken person (1 year) we keep learning everyday something new. I’ll keep an eye out for anything different. As for food - they get some great stuff from local place in ABQ call Oñate who produces fantastic product. So much to consider and watch, thank you again for helping me learn.
