small egg

    ok...so i have 7 hens(4 rir,1 bo,1 buff rock,1 black mix)the black mix is older-got her from a friend.the others were born around easter.i am still waiting for my 7 egg day.i usually get 5-6 eggs daily.they have been laying since the first of october.i am pretty sure they all lay.i have seen the black and buffs lay.i think all the rir lay but its hard to tell.i did get my 5 today but what happened?

    They are adorable... but what the heck is a "Fart egg" ?? o_O

    I figgered it was one of my EE's idea of a joke, I'd been bugging them about starting to give me eggs. I was told that a "fart egg" is kinda like a practice egg for young laying hens.

    They're just a glitch in the system, nothing to worry about. Usually they won't have a yolk, or just a little bit of yolk in them. I've also heard them called fairy eggs.
