small egg

My buff orp. hen, standard size, laid an egg three quarters of an inch wide and one inch long, any chance this egg will hatch?

The egg sounds like the ones they lay when they are just coming back into lay. I wouldn't think an egg that small would hatch. Give it some time, she'll be producing nice sized eggs before long.
