small eggs forever?

we got our first egg yesterday after a huge storm.. thought maybe it scared the egg out of her.. but today we have another egg . so far they are little like small eggs from the store.. these are RIR sexlink 16 weeks old... we have two RIR hens and 4 sexlink.. the sexlink are alot smaller than the straight RIR. the sex link look like comets and sort of bantam in size.. will the eggs be always small?

Pullet eggs are small for a couple weeks. The more they lay, the larger they will get.

They should get larger in time. Pullets start out laying small eggs, but they gradually get larger with time.

Looks just like my first RIR egg. One of my girls eggs is so big you can barely shut the carton. About after a month of laying....

They will get to their full siz within a month or two. My hen has been laying for three weeks and has an egg big enough to sit properly in a large egg container

I'm wondering about the same thing - our barred rock (24 weeks old) has been laying little pink peewee sized eggs for about a week now. They're so sweet, I almost wish they'd stay small!
