Small eggs from a new layer/incubating?

Had a Bresse hen just come into laying a small egg everyday. I'm raising a flock so I'm eager to incubate and get going. I've never incubated small, new eggs before. What are y'alls success rates with this? At a week I have small spider veins appearing in most of the 6 I incubated, so that's a good sign I guess. However, the eggs being small has me questioning the viability and thought I'd ask the forum.

Thanks!

If the eggs are not abnormally tiny you will have just as good of luck as you would have with eggs from a hen that has been laying a longer period. I have had great luck with pullet eggs and the resulting chicks have grown to their full size.

There will be plenty of people who disagree. My avatar shows a tiny serama pullet who was just 5 months old at the time brooding her pigeon egg size eggs in a tub in our kitchen. She laid 8 eggs and all 8 hatched. Below is Mom, Dad, and some of the chicks.
